c1860 hand carved ACANTHUS leaf victorian corbels -

An absolutely stunning pair of victorian gingerbread corbels. Circa 1860 - hand carved wooden ACANTHUS leaf corbels. This is the very best pair of corbels I've had the pleasure of owning or selling. The detail & design here are amazing. The old chippy off white paint is over an original red finish. Great look. Molding is complete around top on both - HUGE square nails present throughout. Great solid condition - no rot! These corbels measure 29" high x 17" wide x 14.75 deep". A pair of corbels like this is a true rarity - given the age, condition and style - these are simply magnificent.

7' FLUTED columns w IONIC style capitals

A great looking pair of VICTORIAN fluted columns - measure 83" tall - have a wooden shaft coming off the top about 15" in which a 8" tall plaster capital sits on top. Each columns is solid - the plaster caps are NOT perfect but have enough detail to give a great look! They measure about 17.5" across on a diagonal. Plaster capitals are each about 35# - columns are about 65# each - heavy and nearly solid!

WOW - Massive marble finials from a 19th century home in the Pioneer valley of MA. Measure 21" high - are 12.25" square on base - Each weighs about 200-225# I've had cast finials before but not Marble - these pieces are very attractive in person! One price for the pair!

19th centruy Railroad station eave brackets

Massive 19th century victorian railroad eave brackets from mid-New York state - south of Syracuse reagion. These brackets were in dry storage for about 20 years - and recently pulled out and acquired here by Capitol Salvage. The worn surface looks great - the FINIALS are huge - as shown in the photo, 2 brackets are put together to form a great looking gable peak. It measures 10' 10" across as shown. Individually the brackets have a 7/12 pitch and are 7' long on one side and 6'6" ont he other. They are 2.75" thick on the main part o the brace - where the molding is built up around the finials it is 5.5" thick. Great decorators pieces - Sold individually - upto 8 available -

Beautiful set of colonial raised panel indian shutters - 4 shutters in deep olive green color - great looking set - date to about 1770-1780 vintage out of northeastern CT - Panels measure 54 x 36" each.

From a Southeastern CT estate - this beautiful window was used in the gable end of a gothic home - has beautiful blue stained glass and original early wavy clear panes. This beautiful cast iron roof cresting was salvaged from the CT state capitol during the 1980's. c1900 Milk Glass 5' diameter clock face

Salvaged from a circa 1890-1900 bell tower at a university/college in southwestern PA - stood at the face of the belltower 160' in the air. The clock face is imprinted with the name INTERNATIONAL on it - the #'s are incised and painted over with black paint and a textured finish - has two hands - need a little working to be affixed to the face (some hardware) NO clock works or backing comes with the hands. The clock face appears to be a glass type material - a long time antique dealer likened it to milk glass - has a WONDERFUL look in person - three faces were on the tower - one broken into a million pieces as it was dislodged from the tower and was not able to be secured - we sold the first of the pair we had right away - these pieces are a rarity and you should not miss this opportunity -

c1900 Triangle shaped gable end windows

c1900 Triangle shaped gable end windows - Wonderful looking pair of gable end windows in neat triangle shape & style - in selling salvage for seven years I've had this style just one other time. The window frames are in SUPER shape, solid with all good early wavy glass. The crackled paint on the exterior is wonderful. Each window has one piece of cove molding on bottom of front side.

c1890 copper 41" finials

WOW - these c1890 salvage pieces are AMAZING. Salvaged from a belltower of a SE PA college university building - these pieces are very RARE! Measuring 41" tall - 12" dia at base and 15" diameter at middle widest part - Has a cast iron pipe sticking out of the bottom (adds another 10" to the height) - used to secure the finials to the belltower - CAN BE removed! All copper - numerous coats of white paint - I've never had the pleasure of owning a more stunning piece of victorian salvage! Some wear - one shows a ding in base - given their age and having been perched 160' in the air - they are in remarkably EXCELLENT condition! Searching other architectural salvage places on the internt I did not find a SINGLE place that had such a unique and rare item - these are easily once in a lifetime purchases!
