Washington by Rembrant Peale, 1858 in Charcoal

Found in a Bucks Country PA estate (home of artist) label on back in pen of Rembrandt Peale's daughter attesting the work is donw by the artist in 1858 - in Charcoal after his famous 1795 painting.
Internet search shows Peale spent the better part of his life drawing this portrait after painting it - in order to 'master' his work! One of America's foremost artists!
In lovely period black walnut oval frame - Wonderful sise at 40" tall and 23" wide - some wonderful gold gilt swirl on the frame - in untouched condition - one small tear on right side of drawing - tried to show in photos.
Easily a musuem quality piece - great documentation on back - Price available upon request.
