HUGE old school house chalkboard / BLACK BOARD - constructed in wood design with great wide boards & original chalkboard tray/shelf. Has the best SUPER wide pine board construction. NOTE the blackboard is two wide pieces of pine - 18" wide each! AMAZING - this is a circa 1850 piece from an OLD Maine school house - all original- chalk tray is original! Amazing piece of folk - country primitive antique! Overall is 51.25" wide x 36" high x 3" deep chalk tray!

Hand carved 2 wooden horses with wagon and three farm hands

Out of northern Vermont - tag came with this one that attributes the work to a local artist Burleigh whom has work in the Shelburne Musuem. Horses have great detail - original cording for reins and the wagon has wonderful red paint. Farm hands are very folky - but dirty - great outsider folk art piece - on original two board pine base - lot's of character!

Another treasure recently found in Maine - the original gilt frame is in near perfect condition - solid & tight. Oil on Board of a nice country famrhouse setting with pond and foilage, signature shows C or L Elliott - '04 - Very cute piece - has label on back of board - Frame measures 11.5" x 19". Board measures 8.5" x 16" - nice clean & folky piece from a sunday afternoon painter, turn of the century.

Bought from a collector in NY city - this wonderful civil war era Abe Lincoln piece has strong traces of paint on hat, face and body. The hat is chipped and the two lower parts of the legs were professionally replaced. Has custom made stand - good joint movement - very folky piece - super political, civil war or presidential collection item.

Wonderfully worn 1868 number sign from a home in northern Maine. Has the best worn patina - with a polish - the numbers will really pop out. Hand carved and very folky look. Perfect for a home of the same vintage - amazing piece of folk art & architectural salvage! It's amazing someone did not throw this thing out or had the foresight to save this true gem! Backside shows where old square nails came through to hold this up!

c1830 NE School House library cupboard Hardwick MA ~WOW

Rare New England Schoolhouse Library Cupboard, C-1830, recently found in West Central Massachusetts. This type of Cupboard was typically used in oneroom schoolhouses to store books that were assigned individually for lessons. It is in original red grained paint, and measures 19”w, 29”h, 6¾” d. In superb as found condition, pine construction, it has mitered corners and oval nails. The inclusion of its original books makes it very rare. The volumes starting with #2 (Hales United States), were published by Harper and Brothers from 1840 to 1842. There are 58 volumes in this set which ends with #75 (Belknaps American Biography, Vol.3). Topics vary from Husbandry, Insects, Chemistry to Lewis & Clarkes Expedition in two volumes, by Paul Allen. A complete listing of the volumes is available!

Original Country Store Bolt & Screw Cabinet
 
This is a 72 drawer all original old country store bolt and screw cabinet. Notice that this piece still has it's original white porcelain knobs, and what is outstanding is the excellent condition of the original stenciling. The cabinet will spin around with a lazy Susan mechanism giving you full access to all sides of the cabinet. The cabinet is nine drawers high. The overall height is 32 1/2' " high and the diameter is 21 1/2 " diameter. Each one of the triangle shaped drawers measure 7 1/4" deep, the face of the drawers are 9" wide, and the height of each drawer is 2 3/4" in height. This is an outstanding all original old country store piece of furniture. Circa 1900's. Has the original brass tag on the base The American Bolt & Screw Case Co. Pat. April 27, 1880, May 12, 1903.

Found in eastern PA - wonderful wooden & cast iron SUPERIOR farm seeder implement. Has great folky graphics & font. Nice imprinted cast ends with details of maker & usage. Both sides open up - would look great used as a toy chest! Measures 73" long is 24" wide and 19" high.

American Bolt & Screw Case Co. Pat. 4-27-1880, 5-12-03 This is a 80 drawer all original old country store bolt and screw cabinet. Notice that this piece still has all the original white porcelain knobs, and what is outstanding is the excellent condition of the original stenciling. The cabinet will spin around with a lazy susan mechanism giving you full access to all sides of the cabinet. It stands on a box platform that is 5.5" high and 30.5" square. The cabinet is ten drawers high. The overall height is 51" high and the diameter is 29" diameter. Each one of the triangle shaped drawers measure 9.5" deep, the face of the drawers are 10.25" wide, and the height of each drawer is 3 3/4" in height. Drawers have stenciling that read gar'e (garage) & tire! This is an outstanding all original old country store piece of furniture. Circa 1900's. Has the original brass tag on the base The American Bolt & Screw Case Co. Pat. April 27, 1880, May 12, 1903 - Dayton OH. This cabinet (very similar, yet larger than one we recently had) was in a private collection for 35 years - it was bought at an auction in St. Louis over 35 years ago! The entire cabinet was professional cleaned and has a wonderful look!

This is an outstanding all original old country store piece of furniture. The piece has never been painted - retains it's orignal finish - needs a good cleaning - there are six or seven spots across the top draws were someone put a white label on them at some point. Will clean easily. This piece is MISSING it's brass label - I have a nearly identical piece with a brass label - showing it being made by the American Screw & Bolt Co. This one has nearly identical dimensions and slightly different stencling! Great pieces. Bought from a collector in the midwest who owned this piece for about 35 years!

19th century Banner weather vane - most likely Fiske, NY origin
Original gold gilt on banner weathervane with strong likeness to one shown in Fiske catalog. Bought from a fellow dealer in Maine - this beautiful piece had a hand hammered base created for it - Measures 38.5" long. Just the vane is 20" high and on the stand, 42.5" high. Great form with scrollwork and arrow - real beauty!

AN AWESOME carnival gaming wheel out of western PA! Wheel is 28" in diameter! Wheel with pins is 1.5" thick - total depth with red board in back is 4" - Back board is 3' long - original label for Federal importing company - Pittsburgh PA - still intact - Has original needle marker!
